The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, Toronto

I had the incredible opportunity to volunteer with Fibershed Ontario, assisting in managing their stall at the annual Winter Fair at the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame. It was a truly eye-opening experience to learn about the origins of our natural fibers and to connect with the animals that graciously provide them. The ten-day event was a rich learning experience, filled with valuable networking opportunities with like-minded individuals. It also paved the way for future collaborations with Fibershed Ontario.

My ongoing volunteering at the Textile Museum of Canada, as part of the Reuse Program and fabric sales, has been an incredibly educational experience. It complements my course modules, allowing me to explore the intersection of fabrics, fashion, and sustainability in greater depth. This opportunity not only enriches my understanding of the industry but also allows me to network with professionals in the field, providing valuable hands-on industry experience.

Blue Cross Of India​​

A volunteering role that is particularly close to my heart has been serving as the photographer and social media manager for the Blue Cross of India, Chennai. Over the course of two years, I had the privilege of interacting with animals on a weekly basis, helping them find loving new homes. During my time there, I was able to increase social media engagement by 40%, contributing to the successful adoption of hundreds of animals. This experience was deeply rewarding, as it allowed me to combine my passion for animals with my skills in social media and photography to make a tangible difference.​
